what up?
If you have no idea what, “what up” means, then you might not understand much of how I write. No it is not some big secret language, but kids today have a different thought process, they have different visions and aspirations, so most of what I will write here is geared toward them. No, I’m not a kid either. I like to think I act much younger (which sometimes is not real productive), but I’m a thirty something father named Paul. I have been blogging for a couple days… enough to know what I can and can’t write about.
I guess now would be a good time to introduce you to myself since I am the new guy here! The name is Paul but everyone calls me blogpaul. I have been a contract web developer since 1993 and became a blog strategist shortly after I began blogging in 2000. I grew up in church as my dad was a pastor, my older brother is currently a pastor of a large church in Dallas so it is only natural that I would grow up cussing, riding dirt bikes and dating top less dan cers!
Well you know you are getting old when all you want to talk about is your kids. I have changed quite a bit since those partying days. Nowadays you can find me one of three places, church, with my kids, or church! I write quite a few blogs on topics you probably would not expect a “church guy” to write about… but my passion is kids - most of the time that is what I will be writing about here in the sticks.

I’d like to say that I am a pretty conservative writer because I believe there is a serious ‘morality disease’ running rampant in our culture today, but at the same time I use to act like a total fool so many of the decisions in my past (and present unfortunately) actually helped with that decline. I like to say I know a few things about Theology…but I don’t, so I just learn the verses that my kids learn and hope they can teach me something new every week!
Well here I am. I describe myself on MyBlogLog as a “Nerdy tattooed and pierced Christian blog strategist talks about everything from SEO/VC to Hos (but not nappy headed ones)!” I look forward to meeting all of y’all (that’s the Texan in me!).
Oh yes, and I’m not afraid to stir the pot a little, if it gets people to think! ![]()
