assigned to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; killed Nov. 11 by enemy action in Anbar province, Iraq.

Bowling was born in Miami and raised in Casselberry, just northeast of Orlando. He graduated from Lake Howell High School in 1997… He had nearly finished his second tour in Iraq and expected to return home to central Florida in a few weeks and get married and become a police officer.
