memorializing florida’s heroes
Since 2003, an American soldier has died in Iraq every 11 hours or so. Since May Day 2007, sticks of fire has been pointing out those soldiers from your great state of Florida every 11 hours or so.
On Memorial Day, you may have found a couple more local websites where Florida’s servicemen who sacrificed their lives are remembered:
- The Ybor City Stogie posted all servicemen from Florida who died in Iraq.
- The St. Pete Times compiled a list of those 186 from Florida who died in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Thanks to both of these sites for remembering your neighbors.
