28, of Jacksonville, Fla.

assigned to the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Ga.; killed Oct. 10 when an improvised explosive device detonated near their M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle during combat operations in Ramadi, Iraq. Also killed was Sgt. 1st Class Brandon K. Sneed.

A graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, Johnson served in the United States Army for 7 1/2 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shalonda Johnson; children, Isaac, Keionnah, Deionne and Leon, Jr.; father; Harry Clark; mother; Bobby Johnson; 5 sisters; a number of other relatives and friends…
