Army Sgt. Michael D. Rowe
23, New Port Richey, Fla.
assigned to the 46th Engineer Battalion, Warrior Brigade, Fort Polk, La.; killed March 28 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during combat operations died in Rutbah, Iraq.
Jennifer Folds, who is married to one of Rowe’s soldiers in Iraq, spoke of the New Port Richey man as a sergeant whose “love for his soldiers was unconditional.” She told of Rowe’s passion for music, his excitement about becoming a father, and his deep love for his wife… His mother, Marcy Rowe, read one of her son’s many poems.

I just found your website recently with the link to my son. I occasionally google his name to see if anything new comes up.
I thank Meredith for the comment about my son, even though she never knew him. And the quote from John Quincy Adams is perfect since my son had enormous influence in the lives of those who knew him - and it was always positive. Many people are better off because of my son. Again, thank you for thinking of him. Knowing that he goes on in people’s thoughts is all I have left of my darling baby boy. My heart is broken.

MIKE WAS A WONDERFULL MAN HE LOVED THE MILATARY AS HE LOVED FOR HIS FAMILY… I KNEW MIKE VERRY WELL AND THERE IS NO ONE LIKE HIM…HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBER, NEVER FORGOTTEN!
