He was known for a genuine politeness, an eagerness to help friends and neighbors. “He was a lamb, just a lamb. He was beautiful inside and out,” said neighbor Isabelle Blakey. Chaires was homeschooled and earned a GED, then attended Tallahassee Community College to earn the 15 college credits needed to enlist.
