county to eliminate 480 jobs
Just a couple weeks ago, the City of Tampa announced they would be letting 120 people go. Yesterday, to comply with upcoming budget cuts, Hillsborough County announced plans to eliminate 480 jobs.
480 positions are targeted for elimination, but most of these are already vacant, or filled by part-time or temporary workers. 138 existing Hillsborough County workers will lose their jobs if the BOCC approves the budget.
Thirty-three jobs will be cut from Hillsborough County Fire & Rescue, including 21 firefighters. 18 will be let go from Public Works department, 3 from Code Enforcement, and 92 part-time library positions. Staffing will also be cut at various parks.
If voters approve a larger homestead exemption in January, more cuts will be coming.

Wow 480 positions are targeted for elimination, but most are vacant or filled by part-timers. Sounds like they could eliminate more than 480 before then even touch the fat.

I hope they leave the Tampa Firefighters that are STALKING ME. Jesus Christ the last thing I need is for those swipes to have MORE TIME on their hands.
