local celebs attempt stand-up
You have seen Wife Swap. Basically, the whole idea is that someone is taken out of their own comfort zone and into a very unfamiliar setting. Imagine getting local celebrities to do
something with which they are unfamiliar, and likely to fail. That might be fun to watch, huh?
ABC Action News evening anchorman Brendan McLaughlin, Bay News 9 morning anchor Jen Holloway, Jack Harris and Tedd Webb from 970-WFLA’s A. M. Tampa Bay, and Link Magazine Editor C. Baxter Carter have never done stand-up comedy before.
But they will be trying on Tuesday night. And they are gonna bomb. The Decidedly White-Collar (Hopefully) Comedy, One-Night Tour makes it’s first and only stop at The Improv in Ybor City on Tuesday, August 7.
It will cost you ten bucks, but proceeds will go to Metropolitan Ministries, so come out and see Tampa Bay’s top media pros take a crack at cracking you up.
