HCSO Sgt. Ron Harrison Shot Dead
tommyHours ago, Sgt. Ron Harrison was simply driving his patrol car. For this, he was shot to death.
The incident began just after midnight as he was driving north from the intersection of Kings Boulevard and Lumsden Road in Brandon. Sgt. Harrison drove less than a mile before crashing the car.
Someone called in and gave the Sherriffs an address of the alleged gunman. This guy barricaded himself in there, but came out with guns blazing. The SWAT team shot him dead, too.
They are still trying to put together everything that happened.

This is terrible.
What’s too much of a sickening coincidence is how it’s always ONLY the good ones here in Hillsborough County.

This is such a horrible and tragic incident.If you are reading this please just take a moment to say a quick prayer for all who new this brave man. I’m just glad that the gunman got what he deserved!

Were sorry for the hcso they lost a great man that would give you the shirt off his the Sissyboy didn’t have the balls to just come out he did s/by cop what a said day @weekend for all of us of the news of a fallen officer

I knew Ron Harrison when we worked together at the 8th Street HCSO office he was a deputy and I was a records clerk. This was many years ago and he was a wonderful and very dedicated man. He will be missed by all that knew him. Even if I haven’t seen or worked with him in many years it is a great loss for me. My condolences are with his family.

May you have the rest you have earned until we meet again in a world without the conflict and sorrows that have come to be.
Our heart and prayers go out to your family in this time of need, an Officer like a Soldier is a special breed of person that there are far to few of these days.
God Bless you and all of those like you, whom give everything for the safety and freedom of others.
May we all find the peace in the next life that we tried so hard in this one to provide for others. And may the day come when each person has the strength of heart to stand alone or with those like you against all odds to do what is right.
