Tim Tebow is a Golden God. Not many people know this but Tebow was bestowed upon us mere mortals by the Gods from on high upon Mount Olympus. 
Tebow’s destiny with the Gators is not so much in question as it is preordained, all that remains is for Tebow to enlighten us.
The Past: Ironically, considering Urban Meyer was brought in for his offensive prowess, it was the defense which carried the Gators to their National Championship. Florida had the sixth ranked scoring defense lead by Heat Seeking Missle Reggie Nelson and a d-line which is still giving Troy Smith nightmares.

The Future: Florida has lost 10 starters from their defense which means it fall on the offense’s, and Tebow’s, shoulders to carry the team. Not just Tebow will be tested this season, it is Meyer’s first opportunity to fully implement his much hyped spread option offense. It helps that the Gators return four starters on their o-line in addition to a top tier receiving corp highlighted by the Playmaking Percy Harvin.
The Game: Tenn (Sept. 15)
Considering they have the 21st most difficult schedule it’s not obvious which game will be most pivotal for the Gators. But the early season matchup against the Vols will be tough since it will test the young defense (thanks oiler). Florida narrowly won last year’s game 21-20 even after holding Tennessee to -11 yards rushing.

The Gators will lose to LSU twice and @ South Carolina… I hope Florida fans can say Chick-fil-A Bowl.

Gator Defender… It’s easy. Tim Tebow won’t be able to handle the pressure of being a full-time QB… he’s as over-hyped over-rated as the rest of the Gator offense (except for Percy Harvin, he is darn good). It’s different when your a gimmick player, coming in to run a few QB sneaks from time to time.
Heck, Drew Weatherford and Matt Grothe are better QBs.

Ski, the LSU game and probably the Auburn game are both going to be harder than the friggin Vols, especially since they have to go to Baton Rouge. UT should be relatively easy this year.

2) This is Urban Meyer’s 3rd year at the University of Florida!
3) Urban Meyer is the hottest young college coach in America!
4) The NFL already claimed a Gator football coach in Steve Spurrier (2001) and the NBA hired away (then released) Gator basketball coach Billy Donovan (2007)
5) A logical person would conclude that Urban Meyer is the next Gator coach to be lured away!

Seriously? You think Drew Weatherford is better than Tim Tebow? Did you watch the Clemson game? Tim Tebow has a great arm. Just because the gators didn’t use it last year doesn’t mean he doesn’t have one. The gator secondary is the big concern, injuries and players out all over the defense.
And I think the Tennessee game is important, because it’s the first big test of the season and if the gators can’t handle that then its going to be a long year.
