glad vile animal is dead
St. Pete councilman John Bryan raped his daughters. Investigators found out, and he killed himself.
Acting St. Petersburg Council Chairman James Bennett says John Bryan’s hard work should be remembered, despite the sex abuse allegations.
“John was a man who loved this city and worked hard to make St. Petersburg a better place. It is appropriate for us to honor that.”
Bullsh*t. John Bryan is not a hero, he’s not an honorable person. He’s a vile, disgusting animal, and Tampa Bay is better off with him dead. Maybe some of his friends should consider it too.
The Tribune interviewed Bryan’s friends, and all of them wondered how John Bryan could keep the secret. But the Times asked some of those same people, and confirmed that they knew something wasn’t right. But none of them told anyone. How can they sleep?

I am wondering at the dichotomy of how people can make pleasant statements about a man who if he had not been in public life would have been seen for what he really was, a monster in a saint’s skin.

Agreed. Bryan was a creepy f**k who got off waaaaay too easy. The kids are the victims, not this predator. How sick we canonize the dead regardless of their perverse indescretions. We have created islands to isolate lepers, why not these cretins.

Later news reports suggested no rape, just “touching.” Nevertheless, other comments about his character and interaction with young women indicate he was a predator and yeh, he needed to do time. Any publc official who defends this pig needs to resign.

Well, I’m not really sure how you can be mad at people for not doing anything. I mean, what if it had been a rumor? Then you’d be the disgusting asshole who ruined an innocent man’s political career. Rumor mongering is pretty bad, too.
I couldn’t help but note that he committed one of the easiest suicides possible, though. No pain, not even much waiting. Something disturbingly cowardly about raping children and then taking the easy way out.
Yeah, you’re right, Tommy, probably better that he’s dead.
