She had known him as a sixth-grader at Marshall Middle School, as a teenager at Durant… At Durant, he aspired to be a chef. “Cory loved his culinary arts classes,” Chamberlin said. But after high school, he joined the Army, enlisting in April 2001.

There are things that we don’t want to happen but have to accept, things we don’t want to know but have to learn, and people we can’t live without but have to let go.

I met cory wile he was serving in ft. lewis… He and I instantly became good friends… I only can say that there isn’t a day that goes by that he doesnt pass through my mind.. he was so easy to talk to, hang out with, and laugh with. Though he and i hadn’t really talked in a long time when I haerd that he has passed away I fell to the floor, and began to cry… you don’t meet someone like cory, and easily forget him. he was a wonderful fun-loving person and i’m sure that he will be missed by all who knew him… to his family… I’m so sorry for your loss. just know that he will be waiting and watching for you in heaven… god I’m sure saved a special place for him.. Cory rest in peace… I love and miss you!
