I could make your eyes bleed writing all about me but I’m reserving that for Twitter. So, count your blessings. Here’s DaveH in brief: Born in Ohio, raised Hoosier and colleged in Oregon. My first newspaper job was the Jackson Hole Guide. My last newspaper job was the St. Pete Times. In between there was a newspaper in Utah, a grad school in NYC and a couple of reporting jobs on Capitol Hill.

Married? Yes.
Kids? Yes.
Boxers or briefs? Neither.

DaveH is supposed to come up with stuff that isn’t coming up elsewhere (see “vomit” above). You know how it is. A man gets bored just sitting on piles of money made newspapering, so he decides to take a crack at playing reporter 2.0-style. That’s why I’m here, more or less.

DaveH is going to take a shot at some original reporting. The way this works is I try to find out good stuff that real reporters ignore or don’t even know about. Then I write about it so real reporters say, “Damnit, did you see what that blog had?” Then I get to brag and nominate myself for scads of awards, just like a real journalist.
