Who on earth decided to lay bricks down for the crosswalks in downtown Tampa? It must have been a man. A man that does not have a wife that works. On the crosswalks I use daily, you only have about 25 seconds to cross six lane Ashley St. Do you know how hard it is to get across in heels now? I have already broken one heal because it got stuck in the grout! I have lost my footing several times and I watched a lady fall right in the middle of the crosswalk because her shoe was stuck.
When I sprain my ankle, who will pay for it? Me with loss time at work and co-pays for the insurance. I will admit they look nice, but safety should have been considered first.

They’re sh*t for your car, too.
They’re all over the Old NE, too. I’m not a big fan, either.

Perhaps two pairs of shoes might solve the problem. Inconvenient, but no doubt safer (and cheaper than continually breaking heels).

I do bring sneakers to work to wear at lunch now. I remember to change about 3 of the 5 days! It should not be so hard to head out in downtown.

I had never really though about how they affect women in heels that is something.

I think your car really should be ok, you shocks take worse on the road, it is supposed to make the sound it does to get you to slow down. Of course if you take a chip of brick on the paint it can really suck.

30 years ago we started paving our parking lots with grass blocks. These are like dough nuts you can drive on.
A plug of turf grows up in the middle.
We thought we had the solution to water pollution, drinking water recharge, street flooding , etc. The parking lots would soak up rainfall and filter pollution. Water would soak into the aquifer instead of hitting the bay.
But the city stopped using them. Why?
Not good with high heels.

another one of linda ss brilliant moves to waste our money. they paved over bricks years ago and she has been spending our money digging them up , cleaning them off and putting them back down. i keep hoping soone or later the people will catch on to her wasteful ways and vote her out, but no one even wants to run against her because the people in her district just as goofy as her
