Looks like Channelside District is trying to get some arts going. I found this online at City of Tampa - Arts & Cultural Affairs

The Economic and Urban Development Department is producing a plan to enhance the Channel District’s vibrancy by attracting and sustaining arts and arts related businesses to the neighborhood. To accomplish this goal we are reaching out to individuals who can contribute to a collective body of knowledge to create concepts and ideas for expanding the role of the arts in the Channel District. Simply take the survey by the deadline of February 1, 2008.

Likewise, via a “Transportation Alert” email from the Downtown Partnership, they want to find out exactly what kind of creature calls herself a Downtowner:

The Partnership has launched a new downtown census campaign to find out exactly who is a Downtowner.

(The survey contains several key transportation-related questions.)

We need your help. An online survey has been created allowing you to tell us who you are and what you do and think about downtown Tampa . Please take a few minutes to complete this survey anbd pass onto your work mates.

Your input is extremely valuable and will help us promote downtown Tampa to future businesses, retailers and developers. For the downtown Tampa employee survey, click here.
