Have you ever heard of the Westchase Artists Society? Me neither.
The Westchase Artist Society is a group of artists interested in adding vibrancy and art to the already interesting WestChase scene and Tampa Bay area. Our goal is to grow the art community in the Westchase Area as well as the Tampa Bay Area, by showing art, educating artists, and bringing together visual artist around the area. Join us for an evening of fun introduction and discussion of future artistic activities, i.e. art shows, excursions, workshops, outdoor painting and other art related events. DON’T be shy, bring yourself and a piece of your work to share, and let’s see what we can “create” together!
They even got a Westchase Artists blog! Anyway, members have created works based on their view of the neighborhood, and they will be showing them off for a while.
Starting tomorrow, and through April 25, the Upper Tampa Bay Regional Library will
host “Expressions of Westchase” — a exhibit featuring artwork by members of the Westchase Artists Society. This show will focus on various interpretations of the picturesque Westchase neighborhood located in Northwest Tampa whose architecture, people, nature, fun, and charm captivate residents and visitors alike.
