trailers evicted
Hillsborough County Code Enforcement says Airstream Ranch is an improper use of the land and
an accumulation of trailers, and the half-buried trailers must go. The display violates zoning and signage restrictions as well as rules against debris and improper storage.
Of course, Dinosaurs are ok.
Hillsborough County will never be cool.

I agree with wifey. Driving on I-4 you see dinosaurs, an airplane and Orlampa.
The trailers should stay.

Acres of RV’s are ok
Half-finished “Ark” is ok
Dinosaurs are ok
but a half acre of half-exposed dinosaurs of RV’s not ok.
Never will figure this place out.

I liked the RV Ranch. At first, it seemed like Tampa may be getting a little hipper, but then, POW! The Squares revolted.

Know what else is wrong? Allowing the Forum to whore itself out as a giant billboard.
How many signs can you wrap around a building, fer crissakes? Damn place looks like it’s been gift-wrapped with catalog pages.

I would suggest adorning the Airstreams with either crosses or Bucs insignias. That should appease the Kounty.

I thought they were cool at first, but now they’re just boring. Same thing happened with “Scrubs.”

It makes Bates’s look slummy. The Airstreams are just stuck in the ground. He just copied someone else’s original idea. I agree with Carl, it is boring.
He should put it in a remote area, make it safe for people to take pictures. To keep it from being boring add something to it.

The County says Bates is in violation because he is in violation of the zoning ordinance. Bates needs commercial property for the display. The neighbors hate it because they say it looks hideous and that Bates moved in on them in the neigborhood affecting their quality of life. Here’s a solution: Bates has a dealership just a few hundred feet from where the exhibit currently is displayed. Bates owns some of the property of his dealership and he leases the remaining. Both the owned and leased properites are zoned commercial and would be permittable for his art display. Move the display to the dealership and this will appease the County and the neighbors but….Mr. Bates may not be the kind of man that will do things honestly and correctly. Mr. Bates seems to be the kind of man who does things shady and would rather tie his shady dealings up in court costing all tax payers a considerable amount of money. After all, he already has hired Luke Lirot. Mr. Lirot has represented Joe Redner and his adult businesses. Me…I would move it to the dealership and save everyone moola.
