He may as well hold a seminar.
Instructor Buddy Johnson takes you through a step-by-step guide on “How to Exploit Loopholes and Pay Less Taxes using Greenbelt Exemptions in Hillsborough County when You Don’t Really Deserve It, or Even Want Much To Do With Agriculture“
I’m a bit tired of picking on Buddy Johnson. But he’s such a fool.
Remember when Tax Collector Doug Belden ended up in the newspaper after getting his drink on at Jackson’s? Well, you almost forgot about that, because the dude has kept his name out of the paper since then. Generally speaking, when you are up for election, it helps to keep a low profile. (By the way, Doug Belden is running against Beverly P. Harris for the Tax Collector office).
On the other hand, we have Buddy, who is obviously too stupid to stop and think that maybe – just maybe he shouldn’t do anything at all until after the election.
Yeah – he applied for (and received) a agricultural exemption for property he bought. At the time, he told you that he <3 Agriculture, and that he had no intention of developing the property. This latest story surfaced because the land he greenbelted was put up for sale as residential housing.
He couldn’t just wait a stinkin’ month until the election was over? What a fool.
I don’t want this guy in charge of anything.

What is this, a truthful insight into politics and community without the comments in outcry of “Why do you hate Tampa” or “But what are you doing to make Tampa better” followed by the trump card of “If you hate Tampa so much why don’t you move”.
Have we suddenly developed the ability to tolerate truth and conversation? Are we no longer expected to hold hands, kiss butt, sing kumbayah and pretend nothing is wrong? Cool, that is progress.
