lights on tampa 2009 opens tonight

Lights on Tampa 2009 opens this evening at 5:30.  The display includes five public art installations created by major contemporary artists.  There will also be live music near some of the venues.  In addition, “Satellites” opens in the Channel District to take advantage of LOT visitors.  All the events are FREE and should be pretty cool to experience.

Lights On Tampa 2009 sites include:

• The Tampa Convention Center, Riverwalk, Dick Greco HART Transportation Plaza, and USF Park – artist Chris Doyle
