You may have heard this somewhere before.
Super Bowl XLIII will be played in Tampa this Sunday.
Between the local SuperHost committee inundating us with the XLIII logo all over town, and local media drowning us with SB info, I’m sure you must be getting sick of it.
Two TV stations even went so far as to change the name of their newscasts! ABC Action News calls the 11pm newscast Tampa Bay’s Got Game, while 10 went with “10 Connects News Superbowl Coverage.”
Yeah, it’s fun to have all the national attention that the game brings, but it’s tough to enjoy when it’s hammered into us for two weeks straight.
PS – Be sure to check out Sticks of Fire’s BOWL OF SUPER!!!!!!!

Boy are we gonna be hungover when Monday rolls around and we finally get our city back. But rest up for Gasparilla! (It should be noted that “Bowl of Super” was way ahead of all local TV stations, but then that’s how SOF rolls!)

I keep telling myself, “Only 3 more days”. Then we can get back to our regularly scheduled pirate festival!
