CDC declared an emergency, the media picked it up because it was news and 'swine flu' sounded scary, then it was shown the flu wasn't that bad and everybody stood down. Don't fall into the trap of reading too much into this. A state of emergency?? 36,000 people die every year from the flu in this country. Do we close the schools during flu season??
