Music Tampa Bay is constantly adding new music by Tampa Bay area talent all the time, with four fresh entries this week.

First is a tune from an artist who is not technically currently local, though she is debuting a new CD recorded in a Tampa studio at a release party this week (Nov 6th) at the Music Showcase in Brandon.  Originally from Riverview, she is also involved in a Tampa youth ministry, so despite currently attending the University of Central Florida and living in Orlando, it is with pride that MTB introduces Melissa Brethauer with the title cut from her new album, Waiting.

Next is a new track from a brand new album – not yet released – called Guitar Songs, currently in the final stages of production by an artist who performs regularly in and around his Sarasota residence, as well as in his former home in Key West, Fremont John.   MTB will showcase the entire CD when it becomes available – but right now is able to offer up a pre-release, un-mastered version of one of the tracks called, Heavy in the Middle.

Next is a selection from a St Pete duo featuring brothers Robert and Steven Vessenmeyer, otherwise known as Experimental Pilot, who are preparing for a Family Harvest show with Ella Jet, and Danny & Alex, at Skippers Smokehouse in Tampa, Sunday, November 15th. There are actually two songs from them being added to the music library this week, with one, Moonshines on Carolina, appearing for the first time in the MTB Big Bay 99.

And finally, a Lakeland Christian trio that recently traveled to Mustang, Oklahoma to record their first full length CD, expected to be released late this year or early in 2010. They say they get their name from each new day that brings with it everything new, The Everything New Band and their new song this week, Taken.

The feature artist this week is Judy Tampa & Bunko Squad – with all 15 songs from their new CD, Tainted, being heard one track each hour all week long in the streaming music playlist.

Judy Tampa & Bunko Squad also hold this week’s number one spot in the Top 10.  The tune, called He Knew Trouble, is from the new CD.  The top 3 songs in the Top 10 have all been getting heavy votes by listeners at Music Tampa Bay, with New Port Richey’s F&F Blues Project and Wesley Chapel’s Paul Guy Bovee, who had the #1 song last week, both very close in the final count.
