Music Tampa Bay offers up 4 new songs in the daily playlist this week.
First, Largo rocker John Daly signs on to the program for the first time with a track ripped (with his permission, of course) from the John Daly Project MySpace page called Same Old Story.
Next, a St Pete singer/songwriter who frequently can be seen performing cover songs in the area, but also creates some of his own material. Randall Lee (randallleemusic.com uses an old version of quicktime, visit at your own risk) is also new this week with what he calls the raw version of his original song, New York Crazy.
The Sheila Kirsten Hughes Band has been a part of MTB for a couple of years with songs like I Will Not Go Down, Behind My Eyes, and Different People, but now returns under a new name, Sheila and the TSP, and a new recording called We Are All We Need.
And finally, another artist familiar to the MTB playlist, Sunset Bridge, who recently submitted a quartet of songs for the MTB music library that were recorded off the air at WMNF Radio during a recent Live Morning Showcase program. One of these being added to the regular playlist this week is called No Worries.
The new #1 song this week has rocketed to the top after a ton of votes were cast in the Top 10 over the past week. It’s from a power-trio that originally formed in North Florida, but relocated to Tampa a few years ago, and is now seen frequently on stage in Ybor City and elsewhere around the bay area. Mogul Street Reserve now leads the pack at MTB with their song, The Score.
The Feature Artist this week is actually a pair of encore performances with songs from their new CDs which are also being presented at separate album release parties in Tampa this weekend (Friday & Sunday, Nov 13th & 15th). Both Judy Tampa and Bunko Squad, and Leigh Humes are being heard once an hour all week long on Tampa Bay’s on-line authority for all original music by local artists, MusicTampaBay.com.
Check out all the new music, Top Ten, Big Bay 99 and Feature Artists on Tampa Bay’s source for all original music by local artists all the time, at Music Tampa Bay.com.
