Music Tampa Bay has added a half dozen or more new tracks by various artists have been added to the music library this week, with three of those now also on the daily playlist (aka the Big Bay 99).
First is a brand new song from a group that recently joined forces with singer who goes only by her first name, Constance. Tampa’s Road Trip makes its appearance on MTB for the first time with their song, Run From It Baby.
Also new this week are two songs from artists who’ve both been heard frequently in the on-line programming. Alex Wolfe Parnes is back with
Dharma Says. And three guys who go by the name Stephens-Worrall-McKee make the list with their song, Road Weary.
The new Music Tampa Bay Top 10 continues to attract a lot of attention, and provide some surprises as well. A new Number One song has been chosen by listeners this week, just one week after entering the Top 10. The band, A Show of Hands, is technically not from the Tampa Bay area, coming instead from a small town between Leesburg and Ocala, yet still competing with established bay area artists. This week they win the top spot with their song, appropriately called, Number One Fan.
The Feature Artist this week is The Sheila Kirsten Hughes Band, with songs from their 2005 CD, Perspectives, heard each hour, 24/7, in the streaming playlist.
Rick Crandall runs Music Tampa Bay, a site dedicated to the promotion and support of local musicians. You can listen to over 700 Tampa Bay area created songs streaming 24 hours a day. In addition, check out more about new music, the current Big Bay 99 songs, and much more at Music Tampa Bay.
