Tampa Bay’s online source for all original music by local artists has been busy, with a lot of songs that are new to the website coming in from all around the area. This week, ten new songs have been added to the daily playlist.

A dynamic Christian group from the tiny West Pasco town of Elfers, 39 Stripes, leads the way with the title cut from a new CD called Beyond Broken. Another Christian artist, in fact a minister in the Tarpon Springs/Holiday area, Pete Church, also has a new CD and a new song called Gotta Get Back.

Sarasota is also represented this week with a group that, in their own words, started up as a joke band, but is now getting serious under the name The Equines, and a song that pays tribute to a girl named Alice.

One song that is also new to the MTB playlist this week, is in fact a classic recording called The Ibuprofen Blues. It was originally released in the 90’s by North Pinellas music crafter Fred George and a band he played in then that was known as Southern Snow.
