Three songs by local artists that are new to the daily playlist make their debut at MusicTampaBay.com this week, beginning with a soulful selection from a Tampa Dermatologist, Dr Robert Norman. He joins the MTB lineup for the first time with The Hurricane Blues.
Also new this week is the title track from a new CD by a former circus aerial acrobat who moved to Florida twenty years ago from The Bronx, and now makes her home south of the bay in Venice. Recording with her group, The Mannequins, she is known to friends as Jax, and gives us The Good Life.
And a St Pete artist whose first and last names both begin with the letter ‘M’,
which provides the name, The Double M Band, now offers its 2nd selection in the playlist. The first one is the title track from a CD called Lovin’ Life, which just entered the Top 10 this week. And now, a 2nd cut from the same album makes its appearance, called The Good Life.
Listeners voting in the Top 10 have returned last week’s #1 to the top spot for the 2nd week in a row by the north beach band, North 2 South, Long Gone Lover.
MTB is also proud to present a unique collection of traditional and original Songs of the Season by local artists beginning this week. Special thanks are offered to the many musicians around Great Tampa Bay who have made their seasonal selections available during this special time of year.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a Kool Kwanzaa to everyone from MTB – Music Tampa Bay.
