Music Tampa Bay programming has shifted into a holiday mode, now featuring Songs of the Season at least 3 times each hour. Currently more than a dozen traditional holiday favorites, and a special collection of all original Christmas and seasonal selections are being heard – all by local artists.
Included among the originals is a timely tale by Seminole singer, songwriter, and energetic DJ, Nancy Rispoli, and her song about Ol’ Saint Nick losing his job during the current
economic recession, but determined to keep those toys coming anyway, in a tune titled, Santa’s Still Coming To Town.
Another timely and touching original holiday original comes from Wesley Chapel singer and songwriter “Real Man” Paul Guy Bovee, with a message heard in many homes around the bay area, and across the country, Dear Santa, Bring Daddy Home To Me.
Perennial St Pete favorite, Jak Kelly, who recently relocated to south of the bay in the Sarasota/Bradenton area offers a tender ballad for anyone facing the holidays alone called, The Loneliest Christmas.
Tampa self-styled tune crafter Baluja, brightens up the holiday scene with his happy tune, I Love Christmas. West Pasco’s Frank and Frank, known as the F&F Blues Project are also mindful of the reason for the season in a bright and bouncing original contribution called, Ain’t Gonna Be A Blue Christmas. And a little further north, Fred George and Don E. Mak keep the party hardy this season with A Weeki Wachee Rockin’ Christmas.
All these and more original and traditional Songs of the Season will be streaming all day, every day between now and Christmas Day at Music Tampa Bay.
