Music Tampa Bay is taking a holiday from adding new songs to the music stream until after the first of the new year.
More than 2 dozen traditional and original Christmas season songs by local artists continue all this week, with the 2nd annual year-end review of the best all original music by Tampa Bay artists beginning this weekend 
and continuing through New Year’s weekend.
2009 has seen a number of upgrades and improvements to the website and music stream. Among these, increased bandwidth and music streaming quality at 128 kbps that equals or exceeds FM radio. A new 99 song daily playlist was added over the summer, followed by Top 10 voting that enables listeners to voice their choice for the #1 song of the week. The website’s first live streaming event was also successfully launched in October, with more planned in the year ahead.
2010 presents numerous new challenges and opportunities that are hoped will provide for a stable foundation for growth and improvement in the future. The year ahead will also see the 5th anniversary of streaming all original music by local artists.
