Time keeps on ticking, and it’s already 2010.
I need a new calendar, and you might too. Here are a couple of local calendars for you to keep track of the new year:
The Dallas Bull had such a good time with the 2009 version, they did another girls of Dallas Bull calendar for 2010. You can watch a video of the behind-the-scenes photo shoot, but must go to the club to pick up the calendar.
Speaking of scantily clad, St. Pete Beach’s Forever Young Dancers also have a 2010 calendar. If you like seeing nearly nude old people. Proceeds do go to a couple local charities, though.
Speaking of old, Penny Saver owner and local historian Linda Hope puts together a collection of historic photographs for the Sulphur Springs calendar. To get the calendar, call the Penny Saver office at (813) 935-3115.
The Friends of the Library come out with an annual Burgert Brothers Calendar,
featuring photos from the Burgert Brothers Photographic Collection. The Brothers photographed just about everything in the area from the late 1800s to the early 1960s. You can pick up this calendar at all Hillsborough County public libraries and at the Tampa Bay History Center for $5, or online from the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation for $8. Proceeds from the sale of the Calendar benefit the Friends of the Library and the Tampa Bay History Center.
Finally, there’s David Lubin’s calendar. David Lubin is a family doctor and a great photographer. Since 1992, he’s been creating the Tampa Bay Events Calendar. In addition to his great photography, it includes many local events, including arts festivals, neighborhood fairs, and more. The Tampa Bay Events Calendar is for sale for $7.95 on his website, dajalu.com
