Music Tampa Bay continues to feature the Top 100 songs of the past year in a special two week run of a program called Opus 2010.
Eight Tampa Bay artists have 2 tracks, and two, Leigh Humes and Rob Kosinski, have 3 titles in the mix, though one of the Kosinski songs was recorded under the name of the Rob K Band. The other artists who boast 2 songs each in the
final list for the year include North 2 South, Richard MacLemale, Scotty Lee & the Treble Hooks, The Sheila Kirsten Hughes Band (now performing under the name Sheila and the TSP), Rebekah Pulley (one song a duo with Ronny Elliott), Stephanie Carpenter, Winfield Davis, and Jeff Stottlar (one of his songs recorded with Rob Gorley).
Some modifications to the list, which can be found on the Playlist page at the website, can still be expected before the final version is determined.
Voting is also taking place for songs in the constantly updated list of Top 10 songs for the year. Several contenders are showing strong support from fans for their choice for the #1 song of the year. At the mid-point of the two week voting period, Leigh Humes, Scotty Lee & the Treble Hooks, and Max Combs & Fred George are running a tight race to take top honors.
The top 100 songs can all be heard, and voting for #1 continues through the upcoming weekend, ending on January 10 at MusicTampaBay.com.
