Four new songs enter the music parade at Music Tampa Bay this week, beginning with a 2nd selection from a group that technically does not qualify as local.

Coming down I-75 from the Ocala area, but with a show this week in Tarpon Springs, and a song already in the MTB Top 10 at the website, A Show Of Hands returns a song with a soap opera title called Young and Restless. Next is a tune from a St Pete singer/songwriter Steve Shabala, noted for his earlier light and lyrical ballad, I Reside in Tampa Bay, now cranking it up a level to a fast paced and hard driving smoker called Freak Out in Song. Also new this week, MTB offers up its first local, original tune with a French title that loosely translated means Let The Good Times Roll. Clearwater audio recording pro Steve Dockendorf brings an international flare to the playlist called Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler. And finally, a Tampa newcomer to the MTB lineup with the curious name, Bride of Chaotica, presents an instrumental guitar composition with an equally curious title, Thug Life.

The Feature Artist this week is an MTB veteran with 2 previous CD’s to his credit, now with his 3rd that explores a galaxy of sounds that all get their energy and drive from his big bass. Sarasota smooth jazz maestro Winfield Davis is back with Bass and Beyond.

MTB will be at the Broken String Fling festival this weekend (Feb 12-14) at the Sertoma campground in Brooksville, and if conditions permit, will carry portions of the 3 day event live in the music stream.

Next month, Music Tampa Bay will observe it’s 5th anniversary since streaming all original music by local artists began. As this milestone nears, it is with great anticipation that the next 5 years offer the promise of an even greater lineup of extraordinary talent, remarkable music, and spectacular display of creativity that will continue to be heard 24/7/365 at MusicTampaBay.com.

Rick Crandall runs Music Tampa Bay, a 24/7/365 showcase for all original music by local artists, all the time, with a new Feature Artist every week, and new music too.
