March marks the 5th anniversary since streaming all original music by local artists began at MusicTampaBay.com. Nearly a thousand songs by literally hundreds of Tampa Bay musicians are now being heard on a regular basis – more than 200 different songs every day.
New music this week comes from a multi-talented musician who is new to the bay area, recently taking up residence on Clearwater Beach. Light Box Therapy enters the weekly MTB playlist with Dark Cloud.
The #1 song at the website this week is from a veteran local artist 
who is well known around Tampa Bay and has achieved national recognition with his appearances with the New Rascals. St Pete big bass player Charlie Souza takes the lead in the Top 10 with a track from his Y2K CD, Live Your Dream, called Hold On.
The Feature Artist this week is Seminole jazz genius Phil Traynor with his brand new album released just last month called Autumn Breeze.
MTB is grateful for the participation of so many wonderfully talented musicians who have made the programming on this website possible during the past 5 years, and for the many new friendships that have emerged from this effort. It is hoped that in the next 5 years, the artists heard in the music stream will come to truly represent the full body of talent that makes up the extraordinary music scene in and around Great Tampa Bay.
