Bob Ross was the Tampa Tribune’s film and video critic from June 1985 
until April 11, 2007, when he was laid off due to budgetary constraints.
A Florida resident since 1955, Ross graduated from Ocala High School (now Forest High) and Florida Presbyterian College (now Eckerd). Before the Tribune, he worked as a news reporter, video store manager, construction worker and bookstore clerk.
As the author of about 4,500 movie reviews since ‘85 and an all-around pop culture freak (emphasis on blues and vintage rock), Ross has a vast storehouse of useless knowledge that he is always eager to share.
